What has been learned so far from having enteral therapies as part of Medicare Competitive Bidding? Given the challenges of home infusion and other bidders in Round One, how do you avoid “the traps” in Round Two? Can you count on delay or cancellation of this program? Find out the answers to these critical questions in this content-rich audio conference.
Other Medicare competitive bidding audio conferences often only address specific questions and answers—not like the comprehensive overview that this NHIA audio offers! If you are looking for an in-depth discussion of how competitive bidding started and where it’s headed—then you need to attend this session.
Program Description:
Hear a comprehensive review of the statutory and regulatory bases for competitive bidding—and how competitive bidding is designed to work. Included will be eligibility requirements for bid submission, the process for evaluating and rewarding bids, protections for small companies as well as preparation of a bid proposal and proactive steps to take if the organization is not awarded a bid contract. The program will also outline accreditation requirements specific to home infusion pharmacies that participate as Medicare Part B suppliers.
Educational Objectives:
After completion of this program the learner will:
- Discuss the current status of competitive bidding.
- Describe how bids are evaluated and awarded.
- Compare and contrast accreditation requirements and timelines for pharmacies and DME suppliers mandated by the Medicare Modernization Action (MMA).
Learn with your fellow colleagues about this critical topic and reserve your spots early. Remember, these audios make great training sessions—as one phone line can train unlimited number of people (see below for additional requirements for those seeking pharmacy continuing education)!*
